BBC Radio Interview - Are We Too Quick To Stereotype - Gina Battye

BBC RADIO LEEDS  – INTERVIEW WITH LIZ GREEN

Topic: Discussion with Liz Green on “Are We Too Quick To Stereotype?”

Chatting to Liz Green about the Hot Topic – are we too quick to stereotype?

Fuelled by the Twitter posts from Will Young Vs The Grand Tour. An Amazon Prime series…

Have you seen the Twitter posts from Will Young?

I think those in the public eye have a responsibility to set an example and to act as a role model. Will Young has a very good point.

LGB people are twice as likely as heterosexual people to have suicidal thoughts or to make suicide attempts (Mind Charity).

I think The Grand Tour producers (and Amazon Prime) need to step up, take responsibility and make it clear to their presenters that this behaviour is unacceptable.

If they cant handle the responsibility that comes with their role – time to get someone that can.

In this day and age – come on….

We DEMAND presenters that are respectful, inclusive and compassionate.

Agree?
