Press Release: The Launch Of The Authentic Self Movement
PRESS RELEASE:
14th February 2019
Who Runs The World? We Do!
‘The Authentic Self Movement’ is launched to coincide with the 50th year anniversary of the Pride movement – encouraging us all become our best and most authentic selves.
This month, world-renowned LGBT+ Consultant and Identity Coach, Gina Battye is launching ‘The Authentic Self Movement’ to coincide with the 50th year anniversary of the Pride movement – to encourage us all to become our best and most authentic selves.
Founded by award-winning empowerment coach Gina Battye, The Authentic Self Movement focuses on three key areas – authentic self, authentic communities and authentic planet.
Gina Battye has worked for Fortune 500 companies, leading global organisations and individuals, specialising in being your Authentic Self and transgender, non-binary and LGBT+ inclusion training.
Gina Battye said: “In a world filled with Kardashians and reality stars – where lip fillers, plastic surgery and Botox have become the norm – this movement is exactly what the world has been crying out for.”
“This movement has the potential to be revolutionary – it could affect everything from our jobs and relationships, to our daily choices and planet. I have launched this movement as a I seek to help each and every individual on the planet – from high-flying city workers and celebrities, to youngsters, every day workers and the elderly and encourage everybody to ‘be the change they wish to see in the world’.”
The Authentic Self Movement is already creating a huge buzz in the spiritual world, and is expected to be trending on every social media site by the end of 2019.
Gina continues; “Our aim is to help people remove the masks they wear – whether it’s to work, with their in laws, or even with their own families – and then ripple that effect out into the world.”
Based on Gina Battye’s research, the key areas preventing most of us from being our true selves are: our past experiences, our own and other people’s expectations, how we feel about ourselves, our programming from childhood, and worrying about what other people think of us.
“These are not individual struggles,” Gina reveals, “they’re universal. The Authentic Self Movement – which involves signing seven pledges – will help individuals overcome each of these areas one by one, and then help them connect with other people who have done the same to actively help the world – whether it’s through conservation work, cleaning the oceans or targeting food poverty. It’s ultimately about people taking their power back – and making the world a better place.”
Gina’s unique process (which forms the base for her Authentic Self and LGBT+ Inclusion Training Programmes) has already been used to inspire, empower and transform everyone – from ex-offenders, to many of the world’s leading global organisations, individuals and Fortune 500s.
Gina said; “When I started teaching ex-offenders in probation offices, I developed my own system: The Authentic Self Process to help individuals reconnect with their authentic selves – organisations AND individuals were asking me to talk in detail about the Authentic Self process, so that is exactly what I did!”
Talking about the movement, she says; “This is a collaborative movement where we’re hoping to create a huge network of changemakers all over the world. We’ll provide everything – from coaching, training calls and global live sessions, to connecting people to projects they can work on together (both online and face to face). At the end of the day, we’re all in this together, and if we want to make the world a better place, we need to do it together.”
So, in the words of Michael Jackson: ‘if you want to make the world a better place, take a look in the mirror and make that change’.
